About

Welcome

A picture of a local scene

Somers Town Community Centre (STCA) is run by local people for local people who live in the St Pancras and Somers Town Ward in Camden. Our aim is to provide broad based services to local people.

It is run by a Management Committee made up of groups using the centre and individuals who live or work in the local community. They have come together in a common effort to provide low cost activities for people who would not otherwise be able to access them.

Mission Statement

STCA is a charity dedicated to providing cohesive, inclusive and innovative services. We strongly support empowering our community to create and spearhead an active and responsive organisation. This organisation aims to produce a meaningful and positive influence at every level of peoples lives. We value community in all its diversity and work vigorously with others to pursue these values

What we do.

We endeavour to provide recreational, educational and welfare services in response to demand and changing circumstance. Our core activities include

Advocacy and Referral.

We also offer support to individuals and offer referral and signposting to a range of appropriate services.

Location.

The community centre occupies a site equidistant from Kings Cross, St Pancras International and Euston Stations and is very well served by public transport links.

Originally built as a tenants hall and part of a housing estate, the community centre has expanded its building and its programme of activities over the years and is now the major community resource in the area.

The Association is a grass roots organisation in existence for twenty eight years. We are a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.

Our Funders.

We receive financial support to help deliver our services from London Borough of Camden, Euston Childrens Centre Services and a range of CharitableTrusts.
