The Café Space
Our Breakfast Club is re - launching on Wednesday March 3rd. You will be able to come in to the centre Monday - Friday from 9.am - 11.am and have a hearty reasonably priced healthy breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.
Additionally we are delighted to announce that our Community Cafe -"The Food Place"- is to be launched early in 2010
Somers Town Community Association benefited from a first phase programme of building refurbishment in 2001 which improved the centre environment and in turn is now being consolidated through our community café development. Our programme expansion is also interdependant with the development of our community café - "The Food Place". Through this development we will offer apprenticeship opportunities, training and employment to young people and volunteers.
This project will be the fulcrum for all our development initiatives around “greening” and for growing our user base. We are already in discussion with partner organisations to explore healthy eating initiatives and the delivery of an environmentally sensitive and sustainable project. Ultimately, "The Food Place" will be a gateway to all our services and will expand the opportunities for everybody who crosses the centre threshold.
Following the launch we will formulate a final blueprint for the second phase of our cafe development scheme so continue to watch this space!
