Lunch Club
Our lunch provision for the elderly is changing shape! From October 2009 we are able to offer a more flexible arrangement for anyone who is eligible and wishing to take advantage of our subsidised lunches. Our new community cafe "The Food Place" will enable more choice around the type of food on offer and the time it will be available.
Our lunch club is delivered as part of our dedicated community cafe. This is in keeping with healthy eating principles serving delicious freshly cooked produce from scratch!
We offer up to thirty people a day a mixed and balanced diet of three course meals plus juice! We can also cater for anyone who has special dietary needs e.g. diabetes.
The cost is currently £2.80 per day. Bookings are taken on Mondays.
The Lunch Club is open each day from Monday to Friday.
The group of elderly people who benefit from the lunch club also make the most of the opportunity to socialise in a relaxed and convivial manner!
