Last 13th July 2024, the much awaited Somers Town Festival took place. Dubbed as “one of Camden’s largest street festival,” Chalton Street was filled with people, food, drinks, art, and information that showcased the richness and diversity of Somers Town.

While this year’s festival brought back the familiar and loved areas such as the kids’ zone, the variety of food stalls and the fantastic live music and performances, they also brought in new things like the Green Zone. The green zone was created to give the many amazing organisations and projects involved in the Future Neighbourhoods 2030 (FN2030) programme an opportunity to showcase their efforts in helping build Somers Town as a healthier, more environmentally resilient community; prepared to tackle the climate crisis. One of the projects featured was Scone, an app dedicated to bringing the community together to encourage healthier and more cost efficient habits through challenges that promises exciting prizes and rewards.

FN2030 partners engaged members of the community and visitors to invite them to the different activities they are running and hosting, as well as to share further details on how each team is making an impact on the neighbourhood.
