Social Action Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)

As part of the Somers Town Future Neighbourhood 2030 programme funded by the Mayor of London Somers Town Community Association (STCA), Camden Council and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London worked with local organisations and residents to explore Learning Recognition for Social Action in the form of a Social Action Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

The Social Action EPQ is a 12 week course that supports Somers Town residents to develop ideas for making their neighbourhood greener, safer and fairer whilst gaining a Level 3 qualification (AS level) useful for progression into employment or education.

BBC Storyworks

Through a series of community-led projects, Somers Town is bringing the conversations around nature, climate and community action closer to those most affected by it: its residents. Recently, BBC StoryWorks produced a short film for C40 Cities featuring Somers Town as part of their Transforming Cities series.
