CoP 29 @ STCA: Recap

Somers Town Community Association (STCA) hosted a series of events to coincide with the United Nations 29th Conference of parties (COP) from the 8th to the 22nd  

November 2024. The two weeks consisted of climate and environment related events across its three sites. The two weeks were delivered In partnership with FN2030 partners, like-minded individuals, organisations and businesses who want to encourage and inspire people to hope and work for a better world.

The 2 weeks consisted of a wide range of events from demonstrations on making natural homemade items, to creating beautiful paper from recycled materials, to learning more about how the changing weather patterns are affecting us, to just having meaningful, insightful conversations about all the daily things that matter to us.

On the 20th of November there was an evening photographic exhibition open to all at the Living Centre to showcase the work undertaken by the many partners  and participants involved in the delivery of phase one, two and three of the Somers Town Future Neighbourhood 2030, with the images then stored and available for use at future events as a permanent record of the journey to date.

The STCA is committed to creating and strengthening conversations, work and relationships around the climate crisis.
