Health & Wellbeing Awareness Week

An entire week of FREE workshops, events, checkups promoting the significance of and support around health and wellbeing.

In the midst of the many changes we face today as a community and as a society, the need for health and wellbeing services and programs are increasing. This area of work has always been close to the heart of STCA.

This is why from the 10th of March to the 14th of March, we are hosting a series of FREE events / workshops / talks / exhibits / check ups in partnership with our colleagues in public health. Thanks to the extensive network of specialist organisations who work with us at the Living Centre, the week will be filled with activities which aim to enable the community to access valuable information regarding health and wellbeing.
There is a wide range of events and topics including free blood pressure checks, vaccinations, talks about women’s reproductive health, exhibits, and many more. This collective effort to bring more awareness, resources, knowledge and connections to the community is a result of the feedback we have received to continue to strengthen our work around such an important area.

Please refer to the program below for more details. Please note that there may be changes to the program.

(Un)Veiling by Dorna Shafieyoon

(Un)Veiling curates the stories of surrender, change and everyday resistance based on the concept of self-discovery in traditional Iranian architecture. Within its narrative lie empowerment, vulnerability, joy, anger, ambition, and discouragement. Regardless of their age and background, anybody can be an influential figure, changing and making changes, transcending boundaries and becoming an artist: This is the story of Women, Life, Freedom.
