The Somers Town Community Kitchen brings together residents of all ages every week to connect and learn over a nutritious meal.
The Somers Town Community Kitchen is a project that brings together residents of all ages every week to enjoy a meal, connect with one another and access various programs and services available in their neighbourhood. It is a safe and welcoming space for the community to interact with each other over hot drinks and nourishing food.
The main impact this program is hoping to provide is to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst the residents, provide nutritious meals and foster a warm and welcoming communal sanctuary where people can share a meal together, strengthen local social relationships and engage in conversations and activities.
The program aims to provide at least one meal provision to meet the increased need for food access in Somers Town.
The community kitchen runs every Monday from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
